Rain in Minecraft can help put out fires and flaming arrows, hydrate and water farms and crops, and can even help fill up cauldrons with water. Rain often occurs temporarily at random moments during Minecraft gameplay; however, if you want rain stopped, you can disable this weather feature by enabling cheats and entering the appropriate commands.

Use a NBT editor such as NBTEdit and somewhere in the tags, there should be a tag with cheats equaling "1." Change that to 0 and cheats will be disabled. The tag is near the hardcore tag.

I am fairly new to minecraft and can't seem to find a way to disable cheats after enabling them. What I am trying to do is make a survival map and add a few things. After which I would like to permanently disable cheats so that I cannot use nor see it on the login menu. Is this possible at all? Please help if possible! Thank you!

Piggybacking on this idea, how about another tier on a beacon that can disable mob spawning if placed like, 200 blocks apart, so four beacons that disable mobs spawning in between them. I would gladly use up a crap ton of iron to make this. It would be super end game though, so it would be really expensive. Hermitcraft would love this!

Either everyone gets all permissions (cheats), or no one gets any. Now, cheats can be enabled/disabled whenever you re-open the game on LAN, so you can temporarily open the multiplayer game, do what you need to do, and then close-reopen the connection to disable them, limiting the cheats for a short period of time.

So I accidentally started a game with cheats enabled, even though I always turn off mob griefing. I haven't made all that much progress, but enough that I'd rather just enable cheats instead of starting a whole new world.

The only way to truly disable cheats after being enabled upon world creation is via an external editor. Like nuclearbobomb said, you can use "Open to LAN" to enable/disable cheats. This will also work for the owner of the world but if cheats were enabled upon world creation, it won't work.

In both Modern skyblock 3 and Forever stranded LS the quests unlocks themselves without me finishing them and the "new quest unlock" dings goes on repeat and never ceases to stop. Since it's only better questing that is affected after the last updates I suspect it is a fairly new bug.

I think a good way to prevent this, is if you permanently disable the cheats you have to give it to someone else on the Realm, and only they will have the authority to give the permission back, the only other way to get the permission back would be if the original server owner were to completely restart the world with an entirely new world.

Delete the NEI config file and everything will reset to defaults (that is, cheat mode on). Keeping recipe mode and not having the opportunity to cheat by a trivial means is simply not possible in SSP...

However, when you feel the game has cheated against you, like destroying your SeaMoth multiple times when you got away with being around Leviathins for a month (game time) then you feel like you have to fight back. But that sucks. I much prefer to just go back to an ealier save and learn that the game cheats.
